Tune into @Cooking Channel’s #TacoTrip Tuesday, December 30th at 6:30PM PT to see @Chef_Aaron visit Chef Noe at Verde Cocina! Catch the two chefs in action, and get the scoop on some scrumptious recipes, fresh from the heart of Portland. “I never dreamed to be on TV,” says Noe. “I only dreamed to make a job for myself, so this was something different! It was something else to have a celebrity Chef such as Aaron Sanchez in my kitchen—it was just a lot of fun.”
Experience the rich melody of the Caribbean islands with Cuban musician Xavier Tavera Sunday evenings 6:30 to 9:30pm at Verde Cocina Hillsdale.
Tavera brings a new sound to traditional 1940s-50's ballads weaving together Bolero and Cuban beats. Acompáñenos!
This place jumps up to the top of my list of great happy hours and great fresh food.
Another mexican joint in the big city. Can it really stand up and stand out? That’s always the question. It’s surprising that people want all Mexican food to be the same and just like it was in Mexico or Texas and they want it a certain way. That seems boring to want them all to be the same way. Finding their own take on it, that is what is going to make them stand out.
Verde Cocina nailed it. It was love at first bite with this place. It’s different. It’s not what you will get at every joint or food cart and I like that, I like that a lot. It’s nothing like what I had when we lived in Arizona and I have not had much like this in California. They are farm to table with a mexican flair.
